Departure: Saint-Alban-des-Villards, the First Villard
Description: at the top of the hamlet of Premier Villard, park at the start of the Route Forestière du Replat then take this road, on foot or on snowshoes. At Plan du Cruet (alt.1060m), leave the Route Forestière du Monthion on the right and continue the Route Forestière du Replat on the left.
Arriving at Le Replat, take the time to admire the view from the first chalets that you will find on the left (path on the left from the pool without water in winter). Just a little further up, memorial panel on the right.
Continue the Route Forestière du Replat which climbs steadily in a long straight line. Pass a first bend, continue until the entrance to a second bend (Replat alt. 1300) in which you will take, on the left, the Route Forestière de la Moletta.
Return: Arriving at the terminal platform of this Route Forestière de la Moletta (alt. 1360 m), take the track which goes down to the left bank of the Merlet torrent (do not cross onto the right bank). Be careful, this downhill slope is also frequented by ski touring skiers, who can arrive quickly!
Always go down, on the left bank, to the Merlet micropower station to then find the departmental road 927 E, which will descend gently to your starting point.
