Starting from the Col du Glandon, this pleasant alpine loop passes beneath the Aiguilles d’Argentière (2,915 m) and offers magnificent panoramic views, reaching as far as the majestic Mont Blanc on clear days.

This accessible hike offers a wonderful introduction to the high-altitude landscapes surrounding the Col du Glandon. The route begins along a balcony trail with beautiful views over the Grand’Maison Lake and dam, before reaching the wide alpine pastures of Le Carrelet, beneath the impressive Aiguilles d’Argentière rising to 2,915 metres. Throughout the walk, expansive panoramas unfold across the surrounding peaks, mountain meadows and the valleys linking Maurienne and Oisans. During the summer months, sheep flocks are often seen grazing these pastoral landscapes, reflecting the area's long-standing farming traditions. The trail also passes near the ruins of former alpine chalets, reminders of the region’s mountain heritage.

For those wishing to extend their outing, an optional detour leads to Lac de la Combe (+25 min), a peaceful mountain lake that provides an ideal setting for a scenic break or picnic in an unspoilt natural environment.
